Our Process

First We Focus on Your Outcomes

Each project starts by understanding your outcomes. Are you trying to "wow" or inform an audience at a trade show or sales conference? Does that wow factor need to be measured? Are you animating a character to put on broadcast television or possibly internal company meetings? Do you need branding guidelines or a new website that drives sales, while tracking that data?

Understanding your customers and desired outcomes will help guide your project and enable us to achieve your goals.

We Use Your Brand to Drive Outcomes

We either create a branding guidelines document or study your current document to make sure we consistently deliver your branding message—your unique value and consistent promise to your customer.

Scripts, Storyboards, Prototypes, and Animatics

Every successful project starts with a well laid out plan. First we create a script, storyboard, sketches, or outline of the entire project to better inform us of the amount of time and budget we'll need for the job. Once those items have been created, we create a "first pass" of what the final piece will be.

  • For animations or motion graphics this is called an animatic, where you may only see stills, timed in sequence to audio and voice recordings. This gives you a good sense of timing, but also better informs you of what work is ahead.
  • For websites, we create a prototype site with links and menus, but possibly not full graphics. Then we make sure users will navigate where you want them to go, typically driving them to a sale or signing up for a newsletter.

Full Production

After planning and approving time and budget we get to the meat of the project and jump into full production. During this phase we send several iterations of graphics, layouts, timing, or otherwise so you have a keen grasp of how the project is progressing. We always want to avoid creating work that won't be used, so we make sure to constantly gain approval during production.

Revisions

Each project assumes some revision time. We hope by having enough communication during full production that revisions will be minimal. If revisions go above the original scope of the project it may cost more, but we will always inform you if that is a possibility. Sometimes we'll give you a little extra on a project for free, mainly because we want you to succeed with your outcomes.
